Easy way to make a red paper lantern

Some school usually gives the homework about make a paper lantern before the Lantern Festival, that’s not a very difficulte thing, there are many ways to make a lantern, in this post, I’ll show you how to make a red paper lantern within 5 easy steps, the pictures is from a manual arts book.

At first, you must get these materials for this work.

Material: red paper*1 knife*1 stick*1 threads*n(n>1)

Step 1: Use the knife line out a rectangle in the red paper, remove the area of the rectangle.

Step 2: To fold the red paper, and then re-spread

Step 3: Coated one of the long end of the rectangular red paper with glue.

Step 4: After being glued, pressure from the upper and lower to the middle, to let the folded part stand out.

Step 5: Hanging threads and stick to finish the handicraft.

Suggestions: Using Battery-powered light bulb as the light source is better than using candles for light in these minitype simple lanterns.

I’ll try to provide some knowledge of lantern making. Today, we talk about How to make paper lantern(Square), the production method is similar to Chinese lanterns, if you are very good at origami, that will be very easy.

The lantern can be used as lighting in the home. To make the paper lantern,the best material is use of the polypropylene material. However, if we just want to make a little paper lanterns as decoration and embellishment, it can use paper to have a try. After all, it’s making use of origami techniques. The production process is not complicated, just few simple steps. Follow me!

An easy paper lantern

1.At first,view picture,and mark in accordance with length and width.

2.If you use cardboard or polypropylene materials,you can use the burin to draw creases; If it is soft paper, you can use your hand to do it.

3.Continue to fold the the parallel line on other direction.

4.Flip the paper to see.

5.Fold under the red line.

6.Stick the pink section together, and along the line to let paper uneven.

I’ll try to provide some knowledge of lantern making. Today, we talk about how to use the waste material to make a lantern, I think it’s very similar to the production methodof Chinese lanterns.

Material:

A Coke bottle(about 2L)
A red light bulb(15-25w, with bulb holder , plug and some wire)
An A4 paper which was printed with patterns (Example using a bamboo pattern)
A scissors.
A piece of sandpaper
A roll of adhesive tape

The process of manufacture

Cut the bottom of the bottle Coke with scissors (Take a piece of sandpaper and round off the angles. Take care, and not injure oneself!)
Use scissors to open seven holes at the top of bottle (one hole in bottle cap, others surrounded it at the top of bottle)
Use the wires go through the bottle cap, and fitted it with light bulbs and bulb holder.
Crop your A4 paper to the right size, roll it up, put it inside the bottle and fixed it with adhesive tape.
Install the plugs, check there is no problom, then open power.
